CBS 6 News Problem Solvers get calls every day asking for help to find employment, so Shelby Brown – WTVR CBS 6 did some searching and found there are several local workforce centers that offer valuable services. The Ross Career Advantage Youth Workforce program is dedicated to assisting youth ages 17-24 with career, job training and life skills development. Ross Director Marcy Williams stated, “our primary goal is to help youth not only find a job but prepare for a career that can last a lifetime”. We offer a wide variety of services such as: resume development, job search, paid work experience, occupational skill training and adult mentorship. The 3 workforce centers in the Richmond area are staffed to meet the needs of youth by coaching and continued support as they work toward meeting their individual goal. At the end of the day, “partnerships, perseverance and commitment to developing the youth is what will help our communities to grown and flourish”, Williams.
